Colleen Llacsa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who sees clients in our Lombard and Yorkville offices and via telehealth.

Hi! My name is Colleen Llacsa and I am a Licenced Social Worker. I knew I wanted to become a social worker at a young age because I have always felt great compassion for human suffering and life’s trials. I also became a social worker because I believe the incredible resilience of the human spirit is what guides us all to want to improve ourselves, our families, and our communities.

Personal growth and change is not always easy but it is always possible. The only constant in life is change and as our lives change in both great ways and challenging ways, we all need support, guidance, and advocacy to make our way in this world.

As someone who has overcome and healed from her own great suffering, it is both an honor and privilege to be on the journey of healing and growth with my clients. Change can be very challenging and asking for help is not easy. Sometimes taking the first step to seek out a therapist can be overwhelming. As a therapist, I believe in an integrative and custom approach to therapy for each of my clients. I believe in setting both short and long-term goals and then celebrating each step of the process.

I have experience working with clients from a wide variety of life stages, experiences, backgrounds, and cultures. I use a Client-Centered and Systems Theories approach to therapy. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, art and music into the healing and change process. I work with clients who are struggling with life’s challenges, looking for help in coping with a recent change, or suffer from addictions, depression, anxiety, domestic violence, eating disorders, chronic pain, and grief and loss.

In my free time, I love spending time with my husband and children, working out, going to concerts, traveling and learning Spanish.

I look forward to hearing from you soon! Click on the link below to schedule your free 15-minute consultation today!
