Dawn Leprich-Graves, LCPC, PMHC, Owner & Therapist
Dawn Leprich-Graves is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Chief Executive Officer who sees clients in the Lombard and Yorkville offices and via telehealth.
After all these years of being able to “hold it together,” things are beginning to catch up to you. You have been suffering in silence far too long. I feel honored in providing a space to allow my clients to explore things they wouldn’t normally share with others. Allow me to share in the burden you feel from containing these thoughts, emotions, memories and sensations, without letting anyone else in. Let go of the shame and guilt and begin to move towards a place of self-compassion and connection.
Maybe you are thinking, “I don’t deserve to move past this pain. Therapy may help others, but it won’t help me.” Many of my clients come to me in this place. So, how does therapy work? How will it help me?
My approach to providing therapy is integrative. I don’t believe in a ‘cookie cutter’ approach. Everyone has different life experiences, so why should therapy be any different.
The foundation of my treatment with clients is based on the theories of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). With these two approaches, I weave in Experiential Approaches, such as drama and art. Additionally, I incorporate Mindfulness-based Self-Compassion with almost all of my clients. For those who have experienced trauma, I incorporate Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, to assist with forming new sensory-based experiences, that can actually alter the neuropathways in the brain, and bring forth change to the nervous system and a person’s overall functioning.
Dawn is not accepting new clients at this time. Please be aware that Dawn has personally hired each and every clinician within in Bricolage and assures you all of our clinicians are well-trained in our speciality areas, among offering other areas of expertise.
