Madison Hosier is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who clients in the Chicago-Lakeview office and via telehealth.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who is no stranger to recognizing the discomfort that that arises when being vulnerable with someone. I believe that the core foundation of therapy is creating an alliance with clients in which they are able to feel comfortable, safe, and supported along their journey. I assist clients by understanding their story through empathy and compassion and acknowledging that no one path looks the same – I understand the importance of meeting clients where they are in their lives.

In my personal life I feel very connected to my values and know that when I am not living aligned to them I feel disconnected from myself. I often encourage clients to identify values and goals that they feel they have moved away from and help in connecting missing pieces that allow clients to realign with these. I don’t believe in preaching what I myself am not willing to practice which helps create an authentic environment for clients.

I have experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, body dysmorphia, life transitions, and self-harm.

My approach to therapy encompasses the use of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and exposure work.

Therapy is two individuals going into the woods together trying to make it out on the other side closer to the person they want to be.
