Marcus is a Licensed Professional Counselor who sees clients in the Lombard and Chicago-Lakeview offices, and via Telehealth.
My name is Marcus, I am a psychotherapist at Bricolage. You can call me a supporter, a great listener, or a personal guide. I know asking for help can be confusing and challenging. Asking yourself the hard question and looking within a mirror of your heart can be frightening. Finding your inner strength and support within yourself and your community while learning how to advocate for yourself can get overwhelming. We all face different physical, mental, and emotional challenges in life. I hope to support you through your challenges and give you the support that will help you push forward feeling more confident.
I have a range of tools and approaches that I like to share with you so you can utilize them to create a space that is unique and safe for you. I work with individuals, families, and couples no matter your background or affiliations. I work with many modalities not including the full list; Person center, Adlerian, Gestalt, Solution focus, Polyvagal theory, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Interventions. I work with mental and emotional concerns not limited to trauma, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem, work-related stressors, burnout, relationship and family issues, Pregnancy/Postpartum Depression, substance abuse, and many more.
When I am not providing therapy, I am spending time with my child, friends, and family or doing self-care activities. Please inquire more about how I can help you gain something for yourself. I like to be myself; I enjoy open communication so please ask questions.
