Maryellen Armour, LCSW
Maryellen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker seeing clients in Chicago and via Telehealth.
I am a trauma therapist. My passion is counseling and supporting survivors of complex trauma, childhood sexual and physical abuse and neglect, sexual assault, and domestic violence. It is a privilege for me to counsel survivors of sexual assault, abuse, and neglect. My counseling style is relationally and client centered. I view trauma therapy as an equal partnership between the client and therapist, and will work at your speed to address your concerns.
In addition to my specialization in sexual assault, I am skilled and passionate about girl’s and women’s issues, self-esteem issues, adolescent and family therapy, attachment issues, and marginalized populations of all kinds. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and graduated from the University of Chicago with a Master’s in Social Work, Concentration in Family Systems. While in therapy with me, you can expect authenticity and a judgment free, trusting environment. I look forward to working together on your healing journey.
