I’ve heard of a Life Coach before, but not a Wellness Coach. Can you tell me more about what a Wellness Coach does?
A wellness coach partners with and supports clients seeking to enhance their sense of well-being. The wellness coach helps empower clients to develop and achieve self-determined wellness related goals. Wellness coaches honor that clients are the experts of their own lives and help clients use their self-knowledge and strengths to move towards what is important to them.
Tell me more about your background.
I have been working as a psychiatric nurse for the past 8 years. I have my Master’s in Nursing and I am a Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have also received additional training in Wellness Coaching. I have been working as a Wellness Coach for the past year.
What are your professional interests?
I am passionate about fostering mindfulness, self-compassion, and joy. Some of my specialty areas include stress management, self-care, body image concerns, and intuitive eating. I practice from a health at every size lens.
Describe your ideal client.
My ideal client would be interested in better understanding what uniquely promotes their sense of well-being. They would be interested in setting and working towards wellness goals that represent their values.
What is your goal in working with clients?
I believe everyone deserves to care for themselves in a way that feels authentic and joyful. My goal is to help clients achieve this. I am dedicated to helping clients reconnect with themselves to identify and pursue what they need in order to thrive.
Does insurance cover your services?
No, however, I offer a sliding scale fee option for clients on an as needed basis.
How often do you meet with clients?
I can meet with clients as often as once per week; however, meeting frequency can be tailored to the needs of the client.
